Need more students? Learn how to tip the scale!

Updated: Oct 10, 2021

When it comes to tutoring the jig is up! Our fellow tutors are, unfortunately, also our competitors so we kinda need to stay together but also manage to get more students.

Here is how we do it.

Be your positive self!

Each and every person is unique. Focus on that positive self that shines when you are among friends and share your passion with the world!

Are you into gaming? Make a post with your tutoring services and use a gaming vocabulary (ex. want to level up? Need that ult? *Name* tutoring services will provide the guidance)

A bookworm maybe? Find quotes applicable to your tutoring services

Into fast cars? ex. *Name* will get you where you need to be

You get the idea!

Just share your passion on social media.

Be up to date

You know how for every Coke there is a Pepsi? Both with great new and improved taste? You need to be Coke.

Follow the news, check the view from the outside world, research the latest trends and see what works for you and what your potential students might find more convenient.

Yes, stick to what you KNOW to work but don't be hesitant to improve to a better standing point. Don't "boomer" reality just because of comfort.

Spread the word

Most tutors get their tutees by word of mouth. So don't wait

up for your opportunity-just grab it! Would your one student give you an honest review? Can your mom spread out a couple of flyers at work? Will your friends help out and like your social media page? Is there an affordable platform that you can use? Politely scream into the internet void, someone will surely hear.

Offer short demo classes

Yeah, we know time is of the essence!

But a short demo is almost like catnip. Those 15-30minutes might change a bit in your day, in return you'll get the space and time to show that awesome, experienced, knowledgeable You that WILL bring your new student A.S.A.P!

These are only handful of ideas that bring the students in. All of them gave us the opportunity to enjoy the privilege of new students and with it that great sense of accomplishment and new markers.

Try them out and share your outcome.
